Have you, possibly, given up your dream? I mean your real dream!
The basis of your dream come true consists of experiencing abundance, a joy-filled life, wealth, prosperity, excellent health and good relationships. To achieve this, you have to first reignite your dream. You must dare and have the audacity to dream again.
Far too many don’t even know what their dream is any more. They’re going through life living life with people they don’t even like. Keeping obligations they’ve lost interest in long time ago, and going to a job they hate.
Do you check into your calling in the morning? Your calling is something you are inspired to do and enjoy doing. You can’t help but do. No, you might go to a job. You clock in at 8:00 AM and clock out at 5:00 PM. You might even work ten to twelve hours a day absolutely hating what you do and how you do it.
Many men and women are unclear of their very purpose which is why a certain pastor in Orange County, CA, could write a book about purpose and reap millions. Now please understand, there is nothing wrong with reaping millions. In fact, it is everything right if you are ready. But the problem is some are striving for things: situations, relationships, careers, and stuff that aren’t part of their destiny and practicing the “Law of Substitution.”
What is the “Law of Substitution?” Just as it sounds. It is when you believe something or someone not belonging to you is yours. You’ll either pray for it, meditate on it, or chase after it.
Once these substituted things are achieved, if ever achieved, they bring pain and disappointment. So, before we can talk about daring to dream or re-igniting your dream, we need to first talk about the difference between your dream and your fantasy.
Cinderella is a fantasy. Alice Through the Looking Glass and Beauty and the Beast are also.
Often, you can spend your precious moments, your “present” fantasizing about things you believe are for you: handsome and rich spouses, mansions, expensive cars, traveling to exotic places, etc. You see them in your head and you might even go as far as to create a vision board to help bring them about.
Often time, none of the fantasies come to fruition. Why? Because they’re not yours! Could your fantasies or what has not been given to you by Universe become real? Yes! Simply because what you focus upon the most, comes to you. But, I warn you, life can wind up being a living hell.
Have you ever gotten what you prayed for and then wished it had never come? Have you ever heard the old adage, “Be careful what you pray for?” When you stray from the plan for your life, your blueprint, you wind up living a false dream. Take it from me, it’s not pleasant. You’ll journey down the path all right, but you’ll have to backup and find the right one. At your expense. It will cost you time, energy, and quite often money and lots of heartache.
What we often do, instead of asking and setting the intent for the “right” spouse, or the “right” home, or the “best” vehicle we spot a good-looking, tall, dark and debonair; or tall, gorgeous, well-endowed person and then ask the heavens to give us that person for a mate and bless the union. We do the same with material stuff: houses and cars.
Then, after receiving the mate, the house, and the car we find out the mate is so good looking they spend more time in the mirror looking at themselves than you; the house is so much work and it owns you; and, the car guzzles gas and it costs a fortune to keep it maintained.
I kid you not, I knew a woman who would trade in her car when it needed new tires. The up-scale vehicle tires were too expensive for her to afford; but, she looked good driving it and impressed the Jones’.
In an earlier life, I wrote about and talked about S.M.A.R.T. goals. These goals still do apply; but I now believe, from an elevated place, one should implement another goal or another plan.
Let me introduce you today to the H.E.A.R.T.© plan. The H.E.A.R.T.© plan has five steps, like S.M.A.R.T goals. But, it helps you find and know the personal plan of love, light and energy for your life. The life which is simply based upon a plan to prosper you and not harm you, to grant you hope and [an amazing] future. Your plan is fail safe and no one can steal it.
Here are the steps:
Hear the voice of God, Creator, Universe, or Higher-self. Whichever name comforts you.
First, understand the voice of God is within.
Second, He, She or whatever, whoever you envision God to be is Omnipotent, Omniscient, or all knowing, and Omnipresent.
Third, you must also realize that the all-powerful, the all-knowing and the everyplace at every time Being is every person and not separate from you. I cannot emphasize that enough. You must know if the mountains and the seas are part of the Godliness and greatness, you must also be. “To look to see what He will say,” mentioned in Habakkuk 2 vs. 1, in the collected Scriptures, is to gaze, glimpse, glance into yourself, your heart, your soul and hear the voice of God within.
Envision: Have you ever said, “I’m asking God for direction or I’m looking for Divine guidance?” I ask, “Where do you want to go? What do you see? Can you see? Do you have an inner vision? You may be so damaged; drained and distraught you can’t see anything anymore. You see nothing but strife, grief and struggle. Your vision may be veiled. You may not be able to discern the ego from the God consciousness leading you into continued cycling, bad decisions, wasted money, and worst of all wasted time.
Your dream that travelled with you through the birth canal and through your D.N.A. may be buried. Be relieved in knowing though it may be sleeping, suffocating or stifled it is not dead. Not if you are reading this piece. It only has to be reignited. Isn’t that awesome?
We always write our vision, “….write down the revelation, the vision so he who heralds it or reads it runs with it.” Habakkuk 2:2. Have you heard people say there is something magical about writing down your goals or creating a vision board? Well there is. It is found in Scripture. To “run” with it means: to bring or move quickly, to hurry. When you take the step to write your vision, to record what you have glanced into and seen, you can revisit and see your vision daily or weekly. This message imprints upon the subconscious mind bringing forth manifestation quickly, hurriedly and easily in consciousness. More will be accomplished in your sleep with your vision at the subconscious than in your everyday routine of bus-y-ness.
Ask: “Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me …” Jeremiah 29:12. If you are willing to find the time to be silent, either by prayer or meditation, then you must also be willing to seek the answers to all the questions even the ones you think are forbidden.
Growing up I was told not to question God. When I became a woman, I asked, “Why not?” If God is my Teacher, and Scripture says He will listen then why can’t I ask? Scripture in Matthew 7:7 clearly tells us to not only ask but to seek and knock. Paraphrased, don’t just ask once but keep seeking and knocking, pounding on the door, if necessary, until you clearly see or hear what it is you need to know. Isn’t that what any good student does? They keep asking and researching until their understanding is clear. But after asking you must LISTEN astutely. Don’t try to over-talk or over-think the teacher. If you’re not supposed to know the answer or the answer is not timely, you will hear or intuitively know just that.
“When prayer is at its highest we wait in silence for God’s voice to us; we linger in His presence for His peace and His power to flow over us; we lean back in His everlasting arms and feel the serenity of perfect security in Him.” –William Barclay
So, if you desire, ask. If the vision for life is convoluted ask for clarity. If you require confirmation; that’s right, ask! Don’t stop seeking the answers within until all is clear. To step out before, will only lead to frustration, anguish and disappointment not just sometime; every time.
Here’s another thing. Once you ask, and hear you must trust the inner voice. Too many folk are spending too much time, energy and money running after false prophets, ministers, teachers, etc. Conference after conference after seminar isn’t the answer. Asking, then listening, then trusting…IS! Learn to be your own guru.
Rest: And in the seventh day He, God, rested. We now live in the seventh day and if we are willing to do the first three steps then we must also be willing to LET GO. (The letting go is really the miraculous piece.) We know it shall come to pass. It: the dream, the desire, may tarry or be delayed but it will Learning the magic of letting go may take you cycling or what I call going around the Mulberry Bush a few hundred times. If you’re anything like me, it may possibly take a good portion of your life; but, eventually, you’ll get so fatigued and so tired, if not sick, you will have to come to your end and you will rest. I have a tool to assist you in letting go in a later chapter; but the ultimate secret is to ENJOY LIFE. Learn to laugh at yourself. Enjoying life means different things to different people, so whatever it means to YOU—go for it! And it’s easy to laugh at yourself. Just look in the mirror.
And, the last step in the H.E.A.R.T© plan: TRANSITION and/or TAKE OFF
You wake up one morning and you’re there. You’re where you’re supposed to be. You’re in the flow and you’re living your dream. The money is coming because you’re on course and more importantly you’re happy. In fact, you’re happy if you’re not making the money because, amazingly, all the good things promised are coming to you anyway. How so? Because the PLAN for your personal life or what is known as your purpose or your calling has overtaken you and you have become one.
This journey is not without bumps, wrong turns, or disappointments. I would be a fraud to tell you otherwise. You may go two steps forward and three steps backward. You might have to go back to the Hearing and Asking from time to time. In fact, I would suggest you do so every morning before you begin your day. You will most likely need someone to walk you through. But I promise you, you will transition into your dream, your hope, your business and your relationships stronger, wiser, happier, whole, healthy, filled with hope and prosperity. After all, that is the plan for your amazing life.
