Dr. Sandra Thébaud is a former Lieutenant Commander who spent four years as a Navy Psychologist and consultant to the Marine Corps’ 1st Special Forces Group. It was during her first year in the Navy that she was tasked with teaching Stress Management to the medical staff. After doing much research, she presented on Stress Management and was asked to do so several times afterwards. Realizing how little the medical staff understood stress management, she began facilitating groups for active-duty military members on stress management as well.
After serving her country, she worked as a Behavioral Medicine Specialist and Hospital Psychologist for Kaiser Permanente while remaining on inactive duty for seven more years. Because of her dedication to helping veterans, she was hired by GE and Walmart to do a Veteran-Corporate Integration training designed to give veterans they hired the information and tools to navigate through the change and transition of entering the corporate environment while helping them experience the transition process itself. She continued her work with veterans as a Contractor for the National Veterans Training Institute where she trained disabled veterans, who work as Employment Specialists helping other disabled veterans become job-ready.
She is now the founder of StressIntel, a firm dedicated to providing quality onsite and online training and resources on Stress Management for both businesses and individuals. She is a Fellow and Board Member of the American Institute of Stress. She is the author of a several stress management books including The Art of Loving Life.
